FORMER Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly in pole position for the England job.
FA chiefs have been searching for a new Three Lions manager since Gareth Southgate announced his resignation back in July.
Now, they have identified Tuchel as their top target.
According to Sky Sports, the FA are now in talks with Tuchel’s representatives.
Officials accelerated the hiring process in recent days following England’s 2-1 defeat to Greece.
While there was initial contact with Pep Guardiola’s entourage earlier this year, there has been no further developments in that area.
