TOP STORY: Juventus eyeing Osimhen if demands are lowered
Juventus will only move for Galatasaray loanee Victor Osimhen if Napoli reduce their demands, with Lille striker Jonathan David viewed as an alternative, as has been reported by Tuttosport.
The Galatasaray loan was the best possible option to avoid the 25-year-old being left out at Napoli after a transfer window in which many proposed deals didn’t come to fruition — with Paris Saint-Germain the most notable possible destination.
While the Turkish Super Lig club want Osimhen to stay past his loan, there is no option to make the deal permanent and they don’t have the funds to meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis’ demands.
If those demands are around €90 million to €100 million then Juventus also wouldn’t be able to make the signing, although they could if they are reduced slightly — especially if Dusan Vlahovic departs for a good return.
Napoli would look for €75m if Osimhen isn’t offloaded in the summer, a sum close to what Al Ahli offered for him during the most recent transfer window.
Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli could also look at David, whose Lille contract expires at the end of the season. AS Roma, Napoli and AC Milan have previously looked at the 24-year-old but were put off by the €25m transfer value and €5m wages that were being demanded.

– Real Madrid will not consider letting midfielder Eduardo Camavinga leave despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and unnamed Premier League clubs, reports Ekrem Konur. Los Blancos see the 21-year-old as a key part of their plans and are committed to keeping him for the long term, as reflected in the fact that his contract runs until 2029.
– Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, but Football Insider have reported that his first choice is to sign a new contract to stay at Anfield. This comes after the 25-year-old called for the club to match his personal ambitions as he aims to win trophies.
– Anthony Gordon is close to agreeing terms to extend his contract at Newcastle United, reports the Daily Mail, with the winger’s current deal expiring in 2026. A framework is in place and the club are confident that the 23-year-old will sign despite interest from other sides — most notably Liverpool.
– Marcelo is at a crossroads where the Fluminense left-back will need to decide whether to retire, as reported by AS. The 36-year-old’s current contract will expire on Dec. 31, but the FIFA Club World Cup begins in June and could present the Brazilian with an opportunity to face Real Madrid, who he previously enjoyed so much success with. Whether Fluminense stay in the Brazilian Serie A and Marcelo’s fitness are likely to be the determining factors.
– Leicester City will begin talks to extend Jamie Vardy‘s contract until 2026, reports Ekrem Konur, with the striker’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season. The Foxes’ management are keen to secure a longer-term deal for the 37-year-old after his impressive performances last season, which have continued into the current campaign.
