United closer to Dorgu deal

Reports are suggesting that Manchester United are getting closer to agreeing a deal for Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu.

The Red Devils had seen a £27m bid turned down for the Danish defender.

But they are now thought to be getting closer to agreeing a deal with the Serie A side for around £31m.

The first signing of the Ruben Amorim era could be about to walk trough the doors at Old Trafford.

Evean Ferguson latest

So we know that there’s a whole host of Premier League clubs keen on a switch for Evan Ferguson, but will it be a loan?

The rumours at the start of January were that Brighton were willing to let their highly-rated striker leave on a temporary basis this month.

However, according to the Athletic, it’s now thought that Brighton could let Ferguson leave on a permanent deal if the price is right.

How much is the 20-year-old worth?

West Ham enquire for striker

West Ham have made enquiries over a potential deal for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.

Sky Sports News reported last night that Brighton had opened the door for Ferguson to go on loan.

West Ham are just one of a number of Premier League clubs interested and have explored the conditions of a potential deal for the striker.

Tottenham and Bournemouth are also in the running for Ferguson, while there was some interest earlier in the window from Fulham.

Arsenal to learn transfer fate

Arsenal are expected to learn this week if they have won the race for Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.

The Gunners are big fans of the 18-year-old midfielder, who is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The teenager’s father, Arne Nypan, has now confirmed after talks were held with interested clubs that a decision is expected on his son’s future before the transfer window closes on Monday.

He told Nettavisen in Norway: “It is an advantage to put it behind us and make a decision before the window closes.

“They are big and professional clubs [interested in Nypan], but what impresses me is how thoroughly nice people are who have good values.

“They are really concerned about Sverre, which we were careful about. They value him so highly that he is more than just a piece in a big game.

“It would have been easy if there were some alternatives where some were obviously better than others, but it is difficult. It is at a very high level and will be good anyway.”

Villa lead Joao Felix chase

Aston Villa are leading the charge to prise forgotten man Joao Felix away from Stamford Bridge, report talkSPORT.

The Portuguese international is unhappy at his lack of playing time after starting just three of Chelsea’s 23 Premier League games.

That has opened the door to a potential late-window exit, with Villa boss Emery a huge admirer of Felix having also tried to sign him before his Chelsea switch.

Chelsea are also one of the clubs on the trail of Villa’s £80million-rated Jhon Duran to bolster their striking ranks, so do not rule out Felix being part of another player-exchange.

Clubs battle for Lyon star

Man United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are among the English clubs monitoring Rayan Cherki’s situation at Lyon.

He is understood to be available for £18.5million.

CaughtOffside claim both Liverpool and the Red Devils have already enquired about the attacking midfielder, however, the timeframe for a transfer this winter appears to be too tight for either club.

PSG and Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be keen.
