Liverpool have ‘obvious’ Salah replacement
Former Red Danny Murphy believes Liverpool should sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo if Mo Salah leaves.
He told OLGB: “If Liverpool wanted one player to replace Mohamed Salah, the obvious choice for me would be Rodrygo from Real Madrid. I think he’s a wonderful talent.
“I don’t know what his contract situation is in Madrid, but I think of him because we’ve seeing him play at the highest level and winning Champions Leagues in the last couple of years.
“His numbers aren’t like Salah’s but he’s a match winner. He can beat people, he’s quick, he’s playing in an environment where he’s playing under huge pressure every week and dealing with it.
“Additionally they’ve got so many talented players at Real Madrid that maybe there is room for one of them to leave. So that would be the obvious standout for me.”
Supercomputer decides FA Cup favourites
Following the FA Cup fourth-round draw, BonusCodeBets‘ Supercomputer has revealed the chances of each team lifting the trophy and how far every club is expected to get in the competition.
Premier League leaders Liverpool are the favourites to win this year’s FA Cup, according to a new Supercomputer.
Defending champions Manchester City are second favourites ahead of Newcastle and overachievers Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea come next but have also been given a 40.5 per cent chance of being knocked out when they travel to Brighton in the fourth round.
Leeds, who sit top of the Championship, have a 9.9 per cent chance of making the semi-finals at Wembley – higher than top-flight sides Everton, Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton.
Plymouth and Birmingham are among the biggest outsiders left in the competition.
Maresca explains Chilwell Chelsea absence
Enzo Maresca has revealed the real reason he has bombed Ben Chilwell out of the Chelsea squad.
The defender has only made one appearance for the Blues this season.
The manager admitted he felt “shame” over the situation with the 21-cap England star.
He said: “Because players want to play more so there’s probably chances for them to leave.
“But Ben has been top. I have to say that, he has been top.
“Very professional, works hard. I feel shame because of that situation, but in terms of behaviour, he has been very good.”
Real Madrid abandon Trent deal
Real Madrid are abandoning their pursuit of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, reports suggest.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, has been intensely linked with a move to Real during the January transfer window.
In fact, Los Blancos have been so keen that they reportedly offered a £20million fee despite the fact the full-back’s contract runs out in June.
According to Relevo, however, the reigning Spanish and European champions are beginning to pull back in their pursuit of the England international.
That is because Real see no chance of Liverpool releasing TAA during the winter market.
