Casadei bid

Torino have reportedly tabled a £10million bid for out of favour Chelsea star Cesare Casadei.

The Italy U21 star was on loan at Leicester City last season.

However, he has been unable to break into Chelsea’s first team this season.

Di Marzio claim the Blues want £16m plus a buy-back clause.

Lampard chasing former Gunner

FRANK LAMPARD wants to add Rob Holding to his Coventry City squad this summer.

The former Arsenal star is currently on the fringes at Crystal Palace after falling out with manager Oliver Glasner.

Holding, 29, joined the Eagles in 2023 after spending seven years with the Gunners.

But is now playing with the youth team after being dropped by Glasner and was even left out of the team’s photo.

Despite being a £4million arrival, the defender has never featured in the Premier League for the club.

Lampard is trying to persuade the star to drop down to the Championship on loan.

Sancho’s United message

Jadon Sancho has told Man Utd chiefs he is happy at Chelsea.

“I’ve felt really good [at Chelsea] since day one,” Sancho, who is on with the Blues, said.

“The coach and the players have welcomed me and that’s all I can ask for. I’m taking it day by day and game by game.

“I’m very happy with my football. I just have to keep showing 100 per cent on the pitch.”

Carragher’s advice

Jamie Carragher has revealed where Liverpool need to strengthen in the January transfer window.

“Liverpool need to sign a full-back. I think they need a left back,” the Sky Sports pundit said on Super Sunday.

“Trent Alexander-Arnold was really poor. He will be a lot better than that and Conor Bradley is fantastic.

“I just think Andy Robertson, who is an absolute legend, is just hanging on in every game. I don’t think Konstantinos Tsimikas is quite of the standard to come in and replace him.

“I think if Liverpool could get a left back in January, I think that’d put Liverpool in a really strong position to win the league.”

De Bruyne future

Kevin De Bruyne has remained coy about his future at the Etihad.

The Belgian playmaker has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

He said: “Rumours on my future? I don’t care. I’m just trying to get back to my level.

“I feel every week I’m getting better. I can play for 90 minutes now. It’s been an uncomfortable couple of months with the injury.”

Slot defends Alexander-Arnold

Arne Slot defended Trent Alexander-Arnold after he suffered a difficult day against Man Utd.

The defender has been subject of a contract stand off at Anfield – with Real Madrid chasing the England star.

After the game, Slot said: “I don’t believe in those things. I think nine out of 10 people will tell you it affected him but I am one of the 10 that tells you I don’t think that affected him.

“What affected him was that he had to play Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, who are two starters for Portugal.

“Great, great, great players. We have a fantastic player here with Diogo Jota and mostly he is not playing for Portugal. That tells you how much quality United have and if these players set themselves to a game, and that is what United once in a while do, then it is very difficult to play against them.

“That is more difficult for Trent to play against Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot than the rumours there were during the week. That’s my opinion and probably everybody will tell you it had to do with the rumours. My opinion is different.”
