MANCHESTER CITY’S newest star Savinho could have been in a completely different and far more dangerous profession.
The Brazilian, 20, has been a stand-out performer for Pep Guardiola‘s side since his arrival at the Etihad this summer.
The winger moved from fellow City Football Group side Troyes this summer in a deal worth £21million.
While he has also cemented himself as a regular starter for the Brazilian national team.
But all that could have been very different if a young Savinho had chosen to take a path down a completely different sport.
The former Girona loanee has revealed that if he wasn’t a footballer he would probably be a BULL RIDER.
The Premier League star grew up on a farm in a small coastal area of Brazil called Sao Mateus.
And he reckons if he hadn’t followed his dreams of making it as a professional footballer, he’d be spending his weekends trying to stay on the back of a bull.
He told the Daily Mail: “Until I was about 16 I would always ride, not so much nowadays in case something happens. But before I’d go out a lot.
“Now I’m a bit more worried about coming off, because it’s been a while since I’ve ridden.

“But also to be professional – in case you fall, in case you get injured. I have a bit of a fear about that.”
He added: “Somebody gets onto a bull and the bull’s jumping around a lot, you know?
“You have to hold on for eight seconds. I’ve never had a go. It’s very dangerous! If I wasn’t a footballer then I would!”
One man who will definitely be happy that Savinho is staying well away from the bulls is Pep Guardiola.
The City gaffer has gushed about his winger’s mentality and application on the pitch.
He said: “What I like is I have the feeling he wants to be the best, the best on the pitch, to try things and participate in everything, to have the ball and try again.
“He’s not scoring goals but he will take the ball and shoot. We had a free-kick against Wolves and he wanted to take it.
“He’s a young guy and I have the feeling that he’s here to become a good player.
“That defines the really good players. With courage and consistency with his ambition he will get there.”
