RUBEN AMORIM is looking for a new goalkeeper to provide serious competition for Andre Onana at Manchester United.
Royal Antwerp’s Belgian stopper Senne Lammens, 22, has been watched by scouts.
Portuguese boss Amorim knows the past few weeks have been difficult for both Onana and his understudy Altay Bayindir.
Onana has made bad mistakes in the two months Amorim has been in charge, while Bayindir committed two blunders in the Carabao Cup loss to Tottenham.
However, to get in a keeper now would depend on Bayindir leaving.
Man Utd lost 2-0 to Newcastle at Old Trafford on Monday.
The result left Amorim’s side languishing in 14th going into the new year.
After the defeat, the United boss admitted that his side could be dragged into a relegation battle.
He said: “It is really hard. Relegation is a possibility. That is really clear so we have to fight.
“It is a really difficult moment, one of the more difficult moments in the history of Manchester United and we have to address it with honesty.
