And it was when England legend Scott revealed she had played in a charity match against ex-West Ham striker Marlon Harewood that the hilarious remark came out.

Speaking on Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet, Scott said: “I was playing at a charity game at the weekend and Marlon Harewood absolutely smashed us.”

After Scholes and Wright both commented on him being a “big lad”, Keane joked: “And what was the game like?”

The entire panel burst into fits of laughter as Keane playfully smirked at Scott.

Wright shrieked: “Roy, you can’t say that,” before Scott pointed to the camera and demanded: “Please keep that in.”

Scholes added: “That’s a step too far,” while Keane attempted to defend himself by saying: “What was the score, I mean, in the game?”

They seemed to be settling down, before Wright shouted: “It’s such a powerful image.”

That led Neville to spit his water out as he was reduced to hysterics once more.
