Jack Grealish ditches iconic hairstyle as he channels Haaland with ponytail

MANCHESTER CITY star Jack Grealish has decided to brush a poor season off with a significant makeover.

Grealish, 29, joined City in 2021 from Aston Villa following a then Premier League record deal for an English player that cost a staggering £100million.

The Man City star, 29, is renowned for his trademark slicked, undercut do. The Premier League winger wears a band in his hair while playing. He was still sporting it at Wembley when City beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday (27 Apr). But yesterday (28 Apr), he got his celeb barber, Ahmed Alsanawi, to give him the makeover. He tied up England ace Grealish¿s locks while he trimmed the back, sides and his beard. He then cut a bit off the length before tying it up in a ponytail at the back. But supporters were divided on the new look, as What¿s The Jam reported. Grealish's game time has been restricted in the last two seasons since City won the treble in 2022/23. He had played 19 times in the league and scored one goal this season. The ¿100million wideman was also left out of the Three Lions squad for the Euros last summer. City fan Becky Chaplin fumed: ¿No, he definitely needs his old hairstyle back asap.¿ Man Utd fan Nathan Antony joked:

Grealish will look more like Haaland in terms of appearance

However, the versatile forward has struggled to live up to his billing this season having been overshadowed by other star team-mates, such as Erling Haaland.

Nevertheless, the England international looks set to emulate Haaland, 24, by becoming the “hair” apparent on the pitch.

And the timing is great as the star striker is sidelined with an ankle injury.

Grealish has what it takes to fill in for an elite footballer like the Norway international.

We don’t know, however, if the winger will be playing like Haaland.

What we know for certain is that he will look like the Norwegian sensation in terms of appearance.

Grealish ditched his signature hairstyle and switched it for a ponytail.

Haaland has stood out for his goalscoring exploits as well as his rich blonde hairdo, which has also led to sponsorship deals with major shampoo brands.

So Grealish has big boots to fill across the board as City push for a late Champions League qualification.

Man City are fourth in the Premier League table with only one point separating them from sixth place amid Pep Guardiola’s worst ever season as manager.

Jack Grealish racked up £10k bar bill partying with pals in the wake Man City’s 5-2 win over Crystal Palace – despite playing 3 minutes

And Grealish can’t afford to let his hair down as he will need to add to his mere total of three goals and five assists in 31 appearances.
