TAHITH CHONG collapsed on the pitch during Luton’s clash against Plymouth.
On the stroke of half-time the former Manchester United star was left immobile on the edge of the penalty area.
Medical staff from both teams rushed to his aid as a stretcher was seen taken on to the pitch.
Fortunately, Chong was quickly seen back on his feet.
Sky Sports reporter David Craig reported the 24-year-old was able to walk off the pitch.
He was said to have been seen with a large lump on the left side of his forehead after a collision.
It was also reported that Chong was able to converse with people.
Luton later confirmed Chong was able to walk to the dressing room after a period on the floor.
Taking to social media, Plymouth added: “Great to see Tahith Chong walking off following treatment, after he went down towards the end of the first half.”
Chong was replaced by Jacob Brown at half-time.
Before tonight’s game at Home Park, Chong had played in all six of the Hatters games since their return to the Championship.
He had scored one goal for Rob Edwards side.
The Dutchman signed for the Hatters in 2023 from Birmingham after they earned promotion to the Premier League, having left Man Utd in 2022 to join the Blues.
Wayne Rooney‘s Plymouth had taken the lead through Rami Al Hajj after just eight minutes of play.
They added a second through a superb strike from substitute Ibrahim Cissoko.
Luton pulled one back seconds later with Victor Moses – scoring his first goal in English football since 2018 with Chelsea.
