DELE ALLI is set to return to top-flight football after two years out after he was offered a contract by Como, according to reports.
The former Tottenham and Everton star has been training with the Serie A minnows since last month.
Speaking previously about his chances at being offered a contract by the club, manager Cesc Fabregas said: “Dele Alli, he’s training with us, he’s fine. For the moment he is only here to train.”
However, according to Fabrizio Romano the 28-year-old is now set to sign a deal with the club.
The report claims Dele will sign the paperwork on Sunday to confirm the transfer.
It will last until June 2026 and have an additional year triggered by making a set number of appearances or availability.
Dele’s last professional game of football came in February 2023 when he was on loan at Besiktas.
He then returned to Everton but failed to make another appearance before his contract expired as injury ravaged his season.
Dele had been training with the Toffees to keep up his fitness before he headed to Como.
In July 2023, he opened up on his heartbreaking struggles with a sleeping pill addiction and mental health issues and revealed he had been sexually abused at the age of six.
Como are fighting against relegation in their first season back in the Serie A.
The club currently sits one point above the relegation zone.
