CASEMIRO has been brutally AXED by Erik ten Hag following his horror show against Liverpool.
The five-time Champions League winner was at fault for two of the Reds’ goals as they romped to a 3-0 win over Manchester United before this month’s international break.
Ten Hag hooked the Brazilian during the half-time interval, handing youngster Toby Collyer his debut.
And the Dutchman has opted NOT to included him in the starting XI for this afternoon’s clash with Southampton.
But he’s not been replaced by summer signing Manuel Ugarte, who joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.
Ten Hag has opted to replace the 32-year-old with fellow veteran midfielder Christian Eriksen for this afternoon’s match at St Mary’s.
The Old Trafford faithful were quick to react to Ten Hag’s decision on social media.
One wrote on X: “Casemiro couldn’t start.”
Another said: “After Casemiro’s stinker against Liverpool, Ten Hag can’t risk [him] anymore.
And another said: “Casemiro absolutely had to be dropped.”
