GOZTEPE star Isaac Solet was rushed to hospital after losing consciousness during his side’s match this afternoon.
The Turkish Super Lig team took on Samsunspor, with the worrying incident occurring within the first minute of the contest.
Solet, 23, was involved in a nasty clash of heads, with the referee immediately calling for medical assistance.
Following treatment on the pitch, the Goztepe star was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
In a subsequent statement, the Turkish side revealed that their defender had regained consciousness and was in “good health“.
It read: “Our player Isaac Solet, who was hit in the head during an aerial challenge with an opposing player in the first minute of the match against Samsunspor, lost consciousness for a short time, but is now conscious and in good health.
“Our player is being kept under observation in the hospital for control purposes.
“We convey our wishes for a speedy recovery to our player.”
Solet had clashed with Samsunspor defender Zeki Yavru.
Following on-field treatment, Yavru was deemed able to continue.
But in the 13th minute, he inadvertently gave Goztepe the lead by scoring an own goal.
The hosts weren’t behind for long, with forward Marius Mouandilmadji levelling just shy of the half hour.
Romulo Cardoso restored Goztepe’s lead just shy of half-time, with Juan Santos da Silva extending the visitors’ lead five minutes after the break.
Former Celtic, Manchester City and Swansea star Olivier Ntcham then pulled one back for the hosts 20 minutes from time.
And Kingsley Schindler levelled the dramatic match at 3-3 in the 79th minute.
Ntcham then completed Samsunspor’s comeback in stoppage time, netting his second to seal a 4-3 win.
