Manchester United are looking for their first away win in the Premier League since mid-December. Striker Rasmus Hojlund is back in the line up after starting on the bench for Thursday’s Europa League win over Rangers.
Alejandro Garnacho starts too as transfer speculation intensifies as the window draws to a close.
“He’s our player” – Amorim
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been speaking to TNT Sports, and it doesn’t sound like he’s preparing to lose young Alejandro Garnacho.
On Alejandro Garnacho starting again today: He’s our player and I’m really happy with Garnacho, he’s improving a lot I think he had a really good game last Thursday.
“He’s a young kid so he can recover very well, he’s prepared for this game and we want to use all the talent of Garnacho to win this game.”
Strong start
Manchester United have gone 1-0 down in eight of their last nine Premier League matches, while since Ruben Amorim’s first game on 24 November, no side has conceded first more times than the Red Devils (8, level with Southampton).
That battle…
Tonight sees the resumption of an unlikely feud between Fulham’s Adama Traore and Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez.
They have beef, as the kids would say.
Anyway, following their clash at the beginning of the season, a jubilant Martinez told reporters that he “sent him [Traore] to the gym” having marked him out of the game.
Traore responded on Instagram: “Don’t worry we will meet again @lisandromartinezzz.”
Could be tasty when Traore gets on.
