Liverpool are plotting an audacious move for Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz.
The Turkish winger has shown immense potential and is seen as a key part of Juventus’s future plans. He has netted three goals and supplied two assists on top of that in 15 Serie A appearances. The teenager is happy at Turin and Juventus are not keen to sell, although the player does have his price.
The Serie A giants are reportedly open to start negotiations for Kenan Yildiz from €80m. Liverpool are not the only club interested in the Turkiye international; the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund are also all keen on the youngster. The scouts from these Premier League clubs were in attendance to watch Yildiz in action for Juventus against AC Milan and Lecce.
Kenan Yildiz viewed as Mohamed Salah replacement?
Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s futures at Liverpool have dominated headlines in recent weeks and months. The trio are coming towards the end of their contracts and the Merseyside giants could quite possibly lose all of them on free transfers in the summer.
As for Salah, he has been in excellent form this season, helping the Reds sit pretty at the summit of the Premier League. The Egyptian international has been an incredible servant for the Reds and most fans would want him to extend his stay at the club. However, he is yet to receive an extension proposal from the club, leaving the star forward’s future in jeopardy.
Should Liverpool and Salah fail to reach an agreement over fresh terms, Yildiz has emerged as one of the potential options to replace him in the summer. Predominantly a left-winger, the Germany-born talent can operate as a No.10 or striker, and that could hugely benefit Arne Slot’s side. He is developing into a key player for Juventus, a forward with big future at the top level in Europe.
With Diogo Jota having become injury prone and Darwin Nunez has proven a major disappointment during his time at Anfield, Liverpool must try to lure Yildiz from the Old Lady. If Slot’s club are genuinely interested in the Turkish prodigy, they must break the bank for him next year.
