The Vanarama National League South club lost to Tadley despite the outfit being three steps above them.

However, Farnborough’s team selection may be an explanation to the result.

The team included fans, the club’s media manager Dom Lloyd, two first-team players and goalkeeping coach Dave Hill.

The reason behind the selection was due to the club’s protest towards the Hampshire FA.

Farnborough were disqualified from the competition in 2022 after beating AFC Porchester 8-0.

They were kicked out of the competition after failing player eligibility rules.

After the decision, Farnborough boss Spencer Day argued that the rules were in a “grey area” and insisted that the club had always taken it seriously.

Farnborough has come under scrutiny for the result as many have claimed the club has been “disrespectful”.
